I have a hammer that was expanded and happy until about a week ago and now it looks like it lost most of its tentacles(?) and is significantly tinier. First pic is about a month and a half to two months ago, second is tonight.

I moved it up to the frag rack to observe more to see if it’s getting bigger or still shrinking.

Have you rechecked your parameters including phos and nitrates....also salinity?

I glanced at your build thread and I apologize if I did not read far enough but do you still have the same light?

UV/Violet/Royal Blue/Blue start at 8 and ramp up to 75% at 10, Red/Green/CW come on at 10 and ramp up to 15% at 12. Red/Green/CW start ramp down at 5:30 and go off at 6:30, UV/Violet/RB/Blue start ramp down at 6:30 and go off at 8:30, with UV/Violet staying on at 5% until 12a for moonlighting.

How high above the tank are they mounted? They may need more light...even tho primes are good they arent the most powerful and need to be run at %100 for depth and par.

They are about 7-8 inches off the water, I can bump them up, I actually just turned them down from 100% blues yesterday when I added the second prime over the other half of the tank.

I think 100 blues and uv is good your tank is still pretty new so it may also be a combination.

Your mag is also high...what salt mix are you using?

Currently using Red Sea Coral Pro (Black Bucket) but looking at possibly doing a mix of 50/50 blue and black bucket, since the Pro mixes at such a high Alk.

I’m also using the Red Sea Mag test, which I’ve heard can be misleadingly high too.

It’s an app called ReefTrace.
