Need some ideas or suggestions on where to place this guy (clean up crew on the way I know it’s looking a bit ugly) right now it’s in the bottom right corner

Looks like low flow there, should be good placement. In my experience they like low flow I'll try to find a pic of mine
 
It will grow up and maybe down a bit ,so you may not see the plug.

I usually attach mine to the rocks or wedge the plug in where you won't see it.
 
I think hammers can tolerate 50 to 200 par or so. I have chaotic, random flow and they do well on the bottom or mid level on my tank. Water stability is important
 
It should grow up and out like a tree, leaving behind the skeleton. I removed the plug and glued it to a rock.
