Hammer Placement

I am attempting to place a Hammer in between a Favia and Zoas. I am worried that the Favia will sting the Hammer and that the Hammer will sting the Zoas.

How many inches should be in between ea?

Favia can have long sweepers, just as hammers can as well. Do you have a picture of the area?
