Hammer tentcles on some look slightly deflated and are super bright almost like it has a growth. Is the a tank emergency or normal?

Still looks very nice! Couple more questions, how long has it been in the tank? Did it just start doing that? What are your parameters?

Very Normal looking hammer to me.
Typical requirements is Moderate lighting which it seems you have met, moderate flow and occasional feedings. Additionally, ph range of 8.7-8.3 and temp at 77 deg and salinity 1.025-1.026

Yeah I just never saw that on it befor so i guess it freaked me out. I have other new corals that are doing fine also so maybee a tentcle on it is mutating or somthing. You all dont seem concerned so I feel better about it now. I'm a yammy newbie to corals.

Patience is one of the best things for corals, I've been nursing a branching hammer back to health for a month and a half now. Got it in a tank from someone getting out of the hobby.

Have you ever ran into the tentcles looking wrinkly or deflated ? On mine they sorta do

In my opinion your worrying about nothing, that hammer looks fine, sometimes they just change how inflated they are for whatever reason. If it was all shriveled up into the skeleton then that would be a reason for concern. All corals aren’t gonna look like a perfect specimen picture 100% of the time.

I'm the same way, been watching videos and reading about all the different things that could go wrong it's hard not to want to adjust something or fix it right away

right! i just take things slow and do tinny adjustments. what sorta levels are you running. just wondering?

Salinity: 1.024
All measured on Salifert:
PH: 8.2
KH/Alk: 11 (high but been holding steady)
Ca: 490-500
Mg: 1280
PO4: .5
NO3: 0
Nice mine are similar except
Alk for me stays 9
Mg is 1500
Thanks for the input I thought my parameters might have been to high. No trace elements yet I am switching salts from just plain instant ocean salt to a topic marina reef salt. Was told a reef specific salt would be a good idea for my tank. Guess I did not consider trace elements yet..
