I have a couple of hammers in the corner of my tank and I noticed one of them sending out a sweeper tentacle and just wanted to see what I should look out for in case one hammer is singing another. I've asked a few people at a few LFS's near me and I got a bunch of mixed reviews basically it came down to some hammers will play nice with other hammers and some won't. But how do I actually know if the one hammer is stinging the other. The sweeper tentacle never sticks to the other hammer but it does brush up against it.

Any input would be greatly appreciated

In my experience they play pretty well together. If there was a problem you’d see retraction of the polyps on the one getting stung.

I'm not sure about other euphilia, but my hammer frag fell over and stung one of the two sets of polyps in my Xenia frag. The Xenia shrank to almost nothing for a few weeks and I thought they were goners. But no -- Xenia is immortal. They're back with a vengeance and the stung polyps look almost as good as the set that didn't get stung.

Hammers can play nice or be punks, just watch them. They can be best friends then one day then the next day wanna kill eachother..

If you have ever seen euphillya tanks then you wouldn’t be afraid. People pack their tanks so full of hammers that you’d think it was one grafted hammer threw out the hole tank. Hammers don’t sting each other. Most euphillyia play nice, the only one that doesn’t is torches. They will sting other euphyllia but won’t other torches

Technically, hammers aren't Euphyilia. They're Fimbriaphyllia. Their genus was changed in 2018. Frogspawn aren't Euphyilia anymore either, but torches are.

I have several hammers, framers, and frogspawn all grown into each other of many different colors without any issues.
