I noticed a split that developed on my hammer coral. Growth has been good and has grown 5 new heads and the main head I just noticed split (which may be attributed to this?). Maybe it just doesn't like that old skeleton anymore? Either-way the actual flesh seems happy and healthy.
Just cleaned the whole sump and all components a few days ago.
Water:
T: 78.1-78.3
pH: 8.1
Alk: 8.2
Ca: 435
Mg: 1330
PO4: usually 0.02 (last read 0.05 due to forgetting to dose NO3 for a while)
NO3: Try to keep ~0.5-1 PPM (Dose KNO3)
Dose weekly Red Sea Trace Colors
Feed LRS Reef Frenzy Nano 2x daily
Spot feed coral BRS Reef Chili 1x weekly
Dose Brightwell Restor every couple days
Run ROX 0.8 in bag in sump in return bubble trap.
Lighting 2x A160WE @ 65% Peak 8:30-19:30 w/ramp
Corrected a low Mg; Ca; and Alk situation (just ran out of 1 GAL of 2 part BRS); Ca was at 375, Mg was 1175; Alk was 7.8
2 Part is controlled by Apex DOS
