Does it look like my hammer is splitting or just upset? It's been contracted for a couple of days

Water parameters swings? any sudden changes?

Do you have peppermint shrimp in your tank?

I have a cleaner shrimp. Not sure if that's the same thing.

No they are not. Cleaner shrimp though are also known as skunk shrimp.

The reason why I ask is that peppermint shrimp are known to attack some LPS.

Do you have your water parameters handy?

I dont. Still kinda of new to the hobby and rely on my lfs to test my water. I know it's not the best practice

Yep, it's best if you test your own water.

Do you use tap water or RO/DI water for saltwater? Do you have ATO on your tank?

Okay, retraction is okay just means it's irritated. Keep an eye out for the next couple days to see if it reinflates.

My torches do this all the time especially at night. By the next day they're fully inflated again.

Give it some time and see what happens.

It looks upset to me as well. They also like medium lighting and flow, are you supplying both in that location? It looks like it might be in a shadowed spot judging by the photo..
