I noticed today that one arm of my hammer is looking rather like melted mozzarella.

Tank parameters are
Ph 8
Ammonia 0
Nitrate greater than 0 less than 2
Nitrite 0
Phosphate 0
Salinity 1.023

There has been one change in the tank and that is the addition of a new skimmer.

I am wondering if this is from damage after cleaning the tank? If so, how do I proceed? Let it take care of itself or prune it?

Thanks for your help and your time.

I'm not sure what's going on with the hammer, but if you don't raise those nutrients (nitrate and phosphate), you're going to starve all your coral...
Yeah, very good point. I just gave them a pinch of reef-roids. Thanks for the reminder.
