Do hammer corals generally tolerate clownfish trying to host them? My two clowns decided to try and host my hammer frag and ever since the hammer hasn't been fully extended. Is it likely ticked off at the interlopers?

Mine live in a hammer too. 3 years and counting. Hammer went from 3 heads to over 25...

Must be nice, I can't get mine to take to the anemone I put in let alone the 6 other corals that wave around lol

Ever since I got the pair I have they just stay at the top of the tank

You could also add several more to divide the clowns attention...if you need a reason too get more coral

Yes they love hammers, best host ever! Heres a new clutch today, this tank only has 2 big green hammers. They know no difference. Don't worry about irritate if it's big enough, half dozen good size heads at least.

Snug as a bug they sleep in the hammer it doesn't seem to bother it. Sometimes they nip like they do w anemone if they are moody but rarely.

They also love big discosoma colonies. They like to hide under them if shrooms are big and plentiful. Ive seen it in my tanks for sure.
