Hand feeding a CBS

I got a purple cbs from my buddy a couple days ago and was wondering whether I should hand feed it or not? I have it in my fuge and I don't know if it will have enough food to eat.

If you don't think it's getting any food then absolutely feed it. Why are you keeping it in the sump?

yes you most certanly can hand feed your cbs

If it is not getting food in the fuge then I certainly would try hand feeding

I feed my scarlet cleaner by hand. It's one of the most personable shrimps I've ever owned, 2nd time keeping one. The coral banded shrimp on the other hand hides all day and night and all I see is his antenna. too shy and fearful to attempt to feed by hand.

I'm keeping it in the sump cause I don't want it to kill my blood shrimp in the DT. I've also heard stories of them eating fish. I only have a 29 so it's close quarters and I wanna be safe.

I actually tried to feed it two times with a tweezers and blood worms, but it doesn't move toward it or try and grab it. I'm feeling persistence will pay off tho.

Anyone have any ideas other than hand feeding on how I could get it some food? A different way?

Might try feeding it something different than bloodworms. Personally, I really try to feed my critters only things that would be available in their natural environments, with the exception of garlic and very rarely vitamin C.
