Ok boiled gray rock for an hour before I added. Some of the tank's hardscape doesn't look "natural."
I would remove the shells dyed pink and blue - may leach unwanted chemicals. Also, the gray rock that Xenia corals are resting on doesn't look like it came from the ocean; I would do some research and remove right now to be safe.
And, check water parameters using quality test kits; corals don't look too good and I wouldn't consider adding any fish until you know what you are dealing with.
Good luck
I would be more worried about it leaching out harmful minerals/chemical substances unless I was sure it was totally inert; just don't know if it is 100% safeOk boiled gray rock for an hour before I added.
You're right, for the life of me I couldn't think of that, thanks! It's not xenia, it's clavularia sp
Unfortunately, not everyone is omniscient - help yourselfLooks like you have some small xenia and a Frag of GSP "Green Star Polyps".
Why wouldn't you just ask who you bought it from to tell you?
Then why is no one laughing except you and no "likes" for your post? Not a joke; just bad behaviorIt was a joke, relax. If you knew Game of Thrones you would get the joke.
Not to sound harsh but you really need to research this stuff before making purchases involving living things. I agree with others to remove those boiled rocks for starters. Do your have any test kits? Reef tanks require stable parameters. At least you found this forum.Ok boiled gray rock for an hour before I added.
