Hello all,

just having some slight anxiety lol. I had to put my hands in my large tank(fallow currently)that had a brooklynella outbreak a few weeks ago. I washed my hands but then without thinking I put my hands into my smaller tank to adjust things. Odds are small I transferred anything over right?

Buy something like this: Atlas 772 Nitrile Coated Gloves 26 inch Long Cotton Lined, Chemical Resistant, Water, Pond, Work, Medium

I always LOL when people wear gloves in their tanks.

Would you wear a plastic body suit to go into the ocean for a swim?

I can understand not wanting to put anything from your hands into the tank, but just a decent washing does the trick.

Just me personally, but I always find it funny.

Probably just like 30 seconds with dawn soap
I think you'll probably be fine. Two things I use: one of those anti-microbacterial soft nylon fingernail brushes and an aluminum bar. The first is to thoroughly scrub off anything prior to sticking my hands in the tank (and after), and the second is to remove any residual odors (etc.)

Some people need gloves there are serious conditions that people have to salt water , or the organisms that live in it that can irritate them, tony from coral euphoria is highly allergic to salt water, so it's not that funny its a form of PPE .
