Hang on external protien skimmer

What's a good one to use for a 29g had a instant ocean one for about 2 months and micro bubbles would not stop.

I'm with @Crabs Mcjones on this. LOVE my RO skimmers. Their price point is middle of the pack, and performance is well above that.

The Instant Ocean Seaclone is a relatively ineffective skimmer. The Reef Octopus HOB series is very well-reviewed, as is the Aquamaxx HOB series. Either one of these will likely do very well

I've used the Reef Octopus. I did get a few microbubbles, but nothing I couldn't live with. I also found that the bubble-trap should _not_ be in place when you start the thing up after a water change, when it overflowed onto the floor behind the tank.
