hang on skimmer with height adjustable pump

Interested in a small skimmer (30+ gallons), but want it to hang on my sump that isn't totally full. . . i.e. I need to be able to lower the pump height so it is under the water level.

I would consider something like the eshoppe nano skimmers, as the magnet mounting allows you to lower the skimmer height, but the sump is a rimmed tank so that gets in the way.

Some HOB skimmers just use tubing for the pump to connect to the body so you can use whatever length tubing you need....within reason of the pump size of course.
