I plan to hang a 165W LED fixture above a 29G Biocube!

Question? What should be the appropriate height from the top of the tank? Plan to be an all reef tank soft and hard corals.

Appreciate your advice.

That's a custom made wall hanger. Book shelf bracket with a piece of square aluminum mounted to it with 3 nuts & bolts. Screwed the bracket to a stud in the wall. Spent around $20 for the stuff to make the bracket at Home Depot. Center the tank under the light. Don't try to center the light over the tank. Easier that way.

Looks like you starting a new tank, looks good! I was planning to mount a similar hanger to the wall to hold the light. Instead going to build a "stand light fixture hanger" similar to the Aquaticlife. I think is made out of conduit pipe! Looks easy to make. With the purpose to fasten the hanger behind the stand. I really don't want anything on the wall. Since this tank will be in my livingroom. Thanks for sharing!
