I’m looking to hang a hybrid t5 led light fixture for my tank and I haven’t been able to find exactly the perfect solution. I have an 87 gallon rimless Red Sea 425 and I want to use some sort of 90° angled set of arms mounted to the back of the stand. I’ve scoured the internet looking for inspiration but the best I can find is not great. If anyone has any ideas that can help me I’d be forever grateful. I want it to look something like this picture I find on the internet.

What is turning you off about the above example?:)

Following...I'm in the same exact position, Matt. I'm trying to hang a 61" T5 hybrid to my new Red Sea tank too! My issue is that the tank is full of water already so I can't get to the back of the tank to mount brackets like in your above example.

Curious to see what you come up with!

Nothing is turning me off. I actually want something like that. That’s not my tank, just one off of google images that had what I’m looking for. I’m having a tough time finding where to purchase that type of arm. That’s why I’m turning to y’all for guidance.

Welcome to R2R!

One thing to look into is 8020 bars. You can often find the parts on Amazon
Good call, I was thinking the same or Suggesting using 1.5' x 1.5' squire aluminum, and having the pieces fabricated locally and powder coated. In both case using the 80/20 or 1.5' channel make sure the pieces that attach to the stand go to the floor, so that the uprights can be bolted to the stand.

@TheEngineer has given a great option of using the 80/20 link :)

There are a few options like the one above if you google "Universal & Hybrid Light Hanging Kit". Doesn't work for me but might work for you.
