Not as bad as the title sounds. I've been Reefing for 4-5 years now, freshwater for 30+. At the height of my Saltwater hobby, I quit my job and started my own "Reef Shop". 3 rack systems, 8ft frag tank and numerous displays and my personal 250g system. Over 1,000g a saltwater. All have slowly been sold off and getting a "Real" job took priority. Starting the Reef Shop took everything I had financially... running it took eveything else. I look back with pride though, if nothing else... I learned alot about running a business. I managed to keep "Salty" with a small 30g cube and a 14g BC for my Gonodactylus Chiragra aka "Pookie". I'm slowing regaining some of my enthusiasm for the hobby... As I'm writting this, I'm filling up a 58RR with RO/DI. Hope to get the water flowing today.

Welcome to the forum! That's awesome that you took the plunge into the business. I would love to be able to do that. :)

Welcome and tell me about your plumbing in the center of the third picture. Is that two separate tanks connected with some sort of wier or is it one big tank with the returns coming up the center and pointing left and right?

Hello and welcome to r2r, beautiful looking tanks and look forward to following along on the build of your new tank :welcome:

Jim- this was the oddest plumbing job I ever came across. I bought the tank while visiting family in Ft.Walton Beach, Fl. It had 6 pvc fitting glued/ welded into the center of the bottom. Above was two oddly positioned overflows. I used the two outside lines for return & the center four as drains. The left side was 5ft long, right side 3ft. 14" deep and 10" tall. As a Coral Prop Tank, it worked great! Still is today, only now it belongs to a friend. Here's a link to the album....

PS.. Thankyou for your service!

SeahorseKeeper - That must be my 12" Derasa... I say mine, but I sold him to a buddy when I broke down my 200g. He WILL be mine again soon... already been working on it ;)

Thanks to all, happy to be apart of R2R!
