Hi guys would love to see some of your creations. I am looking to hang 3 LED fixtures over my 180 from the ceiling and the first thought that comes to mind is a kitchen pot rack lol would love to hear and see your ideas ;)

I just went to HD, they have these decorative hooks made for drywall ceilings. Hung them using cable, after I got all of them where I wanted them I trimmed the cable so nothing was loose. I never use the factory stuff that comes with the LEDs, except for my Maxspect it was a nice kit.

Mine is a pulley system. I used shelf brackets as guides and hooks in the ceiling. The lights are held partially by their stock wire along with some store bought. I made it all out of junk I had for free! Hidden behind the curtain too. Also it has different height positions for maintenance.

Thanks for replying I will have to go to HD and see what they have. This will be the focal point of my living room so wanted to make sure it looked special. I know it's hard to hide the wires but there has got to be a way ;) will be interesting to see some more ;)

Here is mine.... using the radion hanging kit makes for a very flush mount minimal hangers

I don't think you can use a radion kit if they are not radion a correct? I was thinking maybe a light bar that hang from the ceiling but can't seem to figure it out. I still have not gone to HD yet waiting on the other half to get home ;) he does metal framing for a living so I am sure we can figure something out.

My wife did not want anything hanging from the ceiling so I built a box out of decent looking 1x8 pine with some 2x3 inside to lay the lights on. I mounted it to the wall behind it so it looks like its floating. I left just enough space between the top of the tank and the canopy so I get my arm In the tank for maintenance, but not so high it bleeds light.

That looks nice ;) but my tank is tall not sure I will have enough room for maintenance but definitely something to think about ;)

I have seen kits that are the same idea, uses sheetrock screws to mount the end of the cable into the ceiling and then comes down on a wire. You could then add any kind of hanger off of that

I was just going to hang the lights themselves, but I have 3 little ones and the LEDs shined right into their eyes and i was afraid I was going to blind them, lol

You can connect anything you want to anything else you want with some grade A duct tape. :D

On a more serious note:
What If you pulled a chandelier trick and ran the exposed cables through a fancy chain you could paint to match the room?

Another option:
Pool table light fixture-there are some darn classy ones out there that could hide tons of lighting. Most are 3 ft but I've seen them longer of course. Craigslist would be my first look.

I hang mine from an L bracket and use a J hook and a eye hook to have it hang very simple and easy plus has a clean look

1/8" stainless is what I use. I like the coated kind. Buy good brackets and make sure you swage/ crip the Ferrules correctly.

Close up and details. I like it clean....
