How is everybody hanging their led fixtures?
I know about the conduit hangers.

DIY

I have one on my tank now for a ATI fixture.
Not sure I want to use this one for a smaller fixture like the leds.
How is everyone doing it?

I used heavy duty L brackets from the home depot.Screwed them to the wall cause I cant hand them from my ceiling.they worked out well

What holds them up?

Hooks from the ceiling or whatever you come up with. I used the drywall hooks from walmart. The yoyos have small eyelets and you can hang them from that. The yoyo pressure is adjustable and you can raise the light at anytime and the yoyo pulls in the slack so it stays in place. Once your done just pull them back down in place. Super handy for water changes, maintenance or acclimating corals to the light.

Dunno what this guy is growing but it gives you an idea of how they work.

I did 2 aquatic life stand hangers

peter, I did a google search and found them at Marine Depot. $50 each seems a little steep, but if it works.....
One thing I noticed in the reviews, someone said they need to be mounted near the corners of the stand.
Is that the way yours is?

This is what I came up with last night, still not finished but rough in done. I need to trim it out and tidy up the wires still.

My lights came with the four point cable hangers that attached to brass eyes on the light:

Since I was mounting these in canopy, the cables would have the lights hanging too low. So I picked up some aluminum “L” channel at HD and still using the brass eyes, drilled a hole in the L-channel lined up to the eyes. Small stainless steel bolts attached the light to the channel. Then I bolted the channel to the top side of the canopy:

How long is the total lenght that the yoyo's take up, from eyelet to eyelet when fully retracked?

Do you mean how big are the yoyos? 3"x4" roughly. The eyelet is at the top and a string comes out and you tie that off. There's no eyelet at the other end.
