Would the reagent for the dKH checker (HI772S) cause an inaccurate reading if used in the ppm checker (HI775)?

I got the 772s reagent by accident for my ppm checker and it shows 7.9 where salifert reads 8.4 and salifert reads the 6.7 calibration solution correctly.

Hi all,

We updated the reagent product code used for the HI772 dKH Alkalinity Checker. The new code is:

HI772-26 Marine Alkalinity Checker® HC Reagents for HI772 (25 Tests)
http://hannainst.com/marine-alkalinity-checkerr-hc-reagents-25-tests.html

This have been updated from the HI755-26. The chemical used is still the same we just created a new code to match our reagent categorization system. The HI755-26 Alkalinity reagent for the ppm Marine Checker is still an active code and the reagents can be used interchangeably.

Thank you for testing with Hanna Instruments!

Thank you for the info. Now I have to figure out why it's reading low!

I use the provided tip that came with the reagent and wipe off the cuvettes before I put them in the checker. The salifert test matches the calibration fluid included in the test kit and it shows .5 dkh higher than Hanna ppm alk checker

You can by a Hanna calibration set of vials for $20 to make sure your Hanna device is working properly.
