This might be a stupid question but I'll ask it anyway. When using the plastic tip on the reagent syringe, should the top of the black piston or the bottom of the black piston be at the last dash? I have been looked through the instructions and watched multiple videos but I couldn't find the answer to this question.

You take the reading from where the fluid touches the black part, so the black part should be slightly above the line you are aiming for, the fluid should be at the line you are aiming for.
