I recently purchased a Hannah checker kit. I tested my water parameters for calcium this evening and for some reason my meter showed 546. I tried using my API test kit and I got a reading of 380. My question is do I need to calibrate my calcium checker or is it faulty? I am new to this technology and when I first purchased the machine it read pretty well. Now all of a sudden it has erroneous readings. I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong or do I need to purchase the Hana check or calcium calibration kit.

I had the same problem from the start, just kept getting unusually high readings. Found out it was user error...you have to be extremely accurate with the measurements. Are you using the tiny little mini pipette for adding your tank water in the last step?
