I really like the hanna products. Takes the guess work out of color charts. I wish i could afford a hanna checker that dose everything like the bench top models.

I have been looking. To buy the alkalinity checker. I have been hoping to find it on sale. I think the digital readout is the way to go.

Apart from being one of the best on the market, for us newbies it's easier and more reliable to read than the more inexpensive kits we buy, or instead going down to the LFS(such I love) to get our water tested. It would be great to own them myself!

My favorite part of hanna checkers is the digital read-out. I am almost completely color blind, so the "match the color" tests are out. My girlfriend would love if I win so she doesnt have to read my tests for me in the future.

I really like how I can put faith in a machine calibrated for the water testing, rather than using my naked eye to gauge water parameters as required by my other test kits. These checkers appear especially useful for maintaining low nutrient systems where traditional test kits may show no readings. I would aim to get the phosphorous instrument due to worries about controlling algae.
