Hanna Checker Lid Won't Stay Closed

Has anyone had problems with the Hanna checker lid not closing right? I have the low range phosphate checker and the lid closes fine without the vial, but during the test I have to hold the lid down.

No and I've had the alk/ULR for a few years. Do you still have the tab on the inside of the lid that snaps?

i have 5 hannah checkers and every single one of em is like that

Wonder if they changed the design at some point. You guys have newer ones? Want to say I've had these about 4 years?

My ULR phosphorous does that but my alkalinity doesn't

Yes the tab is still on. I actually tried to tighten the lid on the vial really tight and it worked...next time I broke the vial.

I have Calcium, Phosphorus and ALK checker. The Phosphorus does this but my other two do not. Not a huge deal. If your really worried about it cover it with a black towel when doing the calibration and reading.
