Hanna Checker - Nitrate HI782

I don’t think there’s a way to mess up the first button press to calibrate. Once that’s done then mix contents of packet for 2 mins as stated.

I spoke with the folks at Hanna once and they said they do add a bit of extra powder to the packets to make sure. I’ve found it hard to get all the nitrate packet out but no problems with the phosphate.

It would be easier if they maybe sold the reagent in capsules vs packets.

Nope. It's worked great for me, but multiple others @Miami Reef @Dan_P have had packets give incorrect zeroes repeatedly.
Hanna sent me a box of reagent directly from themselves. They said ordering from their websites ensures it’s the freshest and latest batch.

I ordered my problematic batches from Amazon.

I will order my reagents directly from Hanna in the future; I will see if that fixes the issue. So far; so good.

You should call Hanna and ask for help, also ask for reagent replacement since you used most of it already.

Unless the unit is defective...I've reached out to them.

So what was the end result?
I believe the unit is fine. I tested it out a few days later and seemed normal. All Hanna rep said was that it is highly unusual if a unit is defective if it can register and read Nitrate levels.
