Phoshorous ULR is the only one that is a must-have. You can use these for alk and calcium, but Salifert and/or RedSead (or whatever) are also very accurate and easy to use and probably cheaper in the long run. I test alk about every day and I can do it in less than a minute with taking all of the stuff out of the box, testing and then cleaning and putting it all away.
As long as you get the ULR Phosphorous, you cannot go wrong here. Nobody can get even close to this test kit.
Edit: when using the ULR, wipe the vials clean with a soft cotton cloth and be sure and wait the three minutes before you measure. The color will shift over the first few minutes, so you want to always have the same timeframe for your check. There is a three minute timer on the checker if you want to use it. I get very consistent results if I make sure that the vials are clean and use the same time intervals.
