I found out there’s magnetic debris or sand in my tank. Is copper test kit I need to check heavy metal? I am leaning toward to Hanna checker but if you have other recommendations, I’d greatly appreciated.

I would get an icp test as hanna copper only read in the ppm

So that’s not good enough? And what’s the iron check for? I mainly don’t want to wait for the icp test and it’s expensive and I can’t check it often as I will be running 3 tanks

I would replace the sand for sure. If there is rock in the tank, I would run some cuprisorb and do some water changes. Are there corals in the tank? I don’t think the Hanna would help you.

So you’re saying that Hanna copper checker won’t able to tell if there’s heavy metal in the tank?

cuprisorb and nylon pantyhose are on the way and it will be ran through a media reactor.
