Im getting random readings suddenly on my hanna copper checker example i tested my qt tank and got .9 for cupramine panicked tested again right after the first test and got .43 so i did a third test and got .53 and then the final test was .50, i am rinsing the bottle after every test with ro water, once the vial is filled with tank water i am pressing the button and it flashes the two little dashes for a few seconds then says c2 then i am adding the powder( cutting the packet into a v shape and making a crease and tapping all the powder out into the vial) shaking it up letting the bubbles settle and holding the button for three seconds for it to start a 45 second timer and then it gives the reading. I am also wiping the vial down with a glass cleaning cloth the same kind you use on phones before both parts of the test so there is no finger prints. has anyone else had this issue? any help is appreciated this thing worked great for a week or so then started giving random readings.

your reagent might be bad or expired, i only get weird results when I spill reagent or otherwise mess the test up. This makes me want to go double test our copper towers though lol.
I spilt water all over our reagent packets once, they gave me semi-accurate results and i had to double/triple test to get full results. I finally chucked the rest of the packets and got new and havent had issues since.
If you get new reagent and still have problems, I would contact Hanna to see if there is a failure in the checker
