I calibrate mine about every 5-6 months. Bad I know.
To me it feels accurate. I know how much salt to mix to hit 1.025, I know where the water line on my tank and sump is, I see my ATO reservoir depleting at normal speed, I see my livestock is all happy.
Nothing fluctuates, so I don't doubt the accuracy of the tester, until I do.

I recalibrate whenever it gets more than 2 ppm off from what I expect. Usually it happens pretty much all at once every 4-6 months for me.
I know within 1 ppm what my salt mixes to so it’s easy to know when something is off more than that.
