So am ordering a hanna checker for alk and found there are 2 to choose from. DKH or PPM. Is either more accurate or if I am used to measuring in dkh should that be the one to pick?

I am used to DKH, so I would order that.

I can imagine a thermometer available in a Fahrenheit or Celsius version. It is just two different scales. The temp measured is the same. I bet that both units are identical except for the scales they use to report the results.

Most folks on here, in my experience, expect Alk to be listed in dkh so that's the version I went with. However, ppm to dkh is a simple conversion and I have noticed that some alkalinity additives, such as Seachem Reef Fusion 2, have online calculators that use ppm in their calculations.

I use the ppm version and this chart printed out by the tank. They’re probably the same accuracy though. I’m to the point where I think I’m ppm now instead of dKH lol

If I were to purchase now, I'd grab the dKh but it wasnt available when I bought the Hanna. Like the above user, I keep a conversion chart on the computer and reference it. After a while, you dont even need to look at it. Reagents for both kits is the same so that is nice.
