Hanna HALO2 Wireless pH Meter

Received an email from Hanna today that they just launched a series of pH meters that can be tracked using a smartphone/tablet/etc: https://www.hannainst.com/halo2-wireless-ph-testers.

Cool. Well there are 15 types, none for aquariums specifically: https://www.hannainst.com/search?search_query=halo2&hsLang=en XD

But if one were to get one, what'd you probably get? Laboratory-use? Field-use?

I would not get one. Mainly because they seem quite specific in which type of sample they can be used. I note that there is a chat function on the Hanna website perhaps you can ask them

Ps. Looking at them. They are expensive. Have to be stored in a special solution. You would have to have a Bluetooth device near at all times to get continuous readings and it does not look like you can leave it in the tank. Curious what advantage did you see with it?

None, really. I was mainly curious if anyone would get one, what would it be.

Because you are right, it seems like it is not that useful as an aquarium tool. Maybe that's why an aquarium version was not made.

My only feeling was that If one wanted to get a pH meter - that you could just 'dip in' - there are cheaper variations - and Hach does not seem to be for this type of testing?
