so i tested my water using the new hanna high range checker and my number was 3.9 what does it mean

K thnks I’m actually trying to get them a little up finding hard to I’ve been feeding heavy and still that’s as high as I can get them my phosphates are a high 0.11 trying to balance them both any suggestions

Your phosphate s aren't 0 but they r better than mine and far from being problematic at your pace. Keep doing what your doing, and let your tank now age. They will,( nitrate) will go up a little w age and a reg feeding schedule . keep up the good work

Whatever you do dont try to chase phosphates down. For me as soon as i got around 0.1ppm they just drove themself to 0 followed by nitrate to 0...bam dino.

As others mentioned let the tank mature at a steady pace. In case you need it down the road buy some extra phosphates and nitrates. If they ever bottom out get some in there asap.

I didnt have a potent enough bottle of phosphates on hand and i paid the price.
