I just got a hanna high range checker. 2 readings today: 19 and 23. API has been consistant 5-10. Which is more reliable or true. PO4 today was at 0 with 2 tests (didn't believe the first). Yesterday also 2: 0 and then .17 so am assuming the 0 was true. So if my po4 is at 0, I'd be inclined to believe my no3 is closer to the 10 range. Or is the hanna no3 more reliable? Either way, I'll dose some neophos-just a bit and retest tomorrow.

I recently got a Hanna nitrate HR checker myself. It is tracking close to the API test kit. My nitrates were bottoming out and hence was easy to read the API. TBH, I do not know if I can differentiate the colors well enough on an API or any other test kit.

Yes, easier to read the api colors at 5. 10-20 are super close
