I’m using the Hanna checker for Alkalinity dKH. The reagent isn’t expired, nor do I leave it open, but I have had this milky white strand, like cotton, floating after adding the reagent.
Alkalinity Reagent.................H1772S
Lot : 7309
Exp : 08/2019
Vol. : 30 ml
I put a call into Hanna, no response yet. I’m concerned because Hanna’s headquarters are in New Jersey, but the reagent is out-sourced to Romania. I had to get a better magnifying glass to read the very fine print.
Anyone with any ideas??? Here’s a photo. Stuff is floating just above white vertical line.

I contacted them for something similar last year and they stated it wasnt anything to worry about. They did offer to send out a replacement reagent but the readings were consistent with the previous bottle so I continued using it and declined the offer.

Edit: The response to my email question stated that you could run it through a coffee filter if you were worried about it. I never did and it didnt seem to matter.

Thanks, I did contact them
