Hanna Salinity Checker getting stuck on Loading screen

Hi,

My brand new salinity checker keeps getting stuck on the "all lcd" mode after turning it on.

When I take the battery cover off it works normally. Upon putting the battery cover on again, the cover hits the battery, pushes it into the set up button which triggers the reset, and loads normally. Once I turn it off and turn it back on it then gets stuck on:

Just tried to unscrew the back while stuck on that screen and once it is off it turns on normally.

If you can't plainly see what is pushing the reset in and able to fix it I would be returning it straight away.
