Hanna salinity checker or Milwaukee

All my corals in my tank look bad because my salintity was at 1.024 and my refractormeter was no working right so I a ordering something new, which one would be better the Hanna salinity pen or Milwaukee refractometer.

I would buy the high precision hydrometer from tropic marin, with this they calibrate expensive equipment, or check your refractometer with a solution at 35 ppt, you can make one by following the recipe of randy.

I like the Hanna but I think I just saw the Milwaukee is on sale for $89 at a few places. Always good to have multiple ways to measure.

Have the milwaukee, and the hanna.

Needless to say the hanna is just so easy to use, my milwaukee sits on the shelf.

+1 with what Reef-Tripp said. I high precision float hydrometer will get you your most accurate results.

Pinpoint salinity monitor or the VeeGee STX-3 refractometer.

Use a good .35 solution to help check the calibration, not RO/DI water.
