I use my Hanna Salinity Tester routinely, but would like to check my quarantine tank salinity. I've asked Hanna, but thought someone here may have information on safe methods to disinfect without harming the carbon electrodes. Thanks in advance.

I just rinse mine under tap water then RODI water. If your really concerned I would try dipping it in Isopropyl Alcohol. The alcohol would kill anything and it evaporates quickly.

Talked to Hanna Tech today, isopropyl is ok for sensor.

I'm also experiencing drift in my salinity measurements, always to the higher side requiring frequent re-calibration. Tech indicated that "atmospheric pressure changes" could affect readings. I assumed the device is really a conductivity meter, so a little difficult to understand how changes in ambient pressure, particularly in water, would affect it. Anyone else seeing this behavior?
