Hanna salinity tester not calibrating

Hi I just purchased the Hanna salinity tester and it won’t calibrate. When I put it in the solution it just goes to err. Any ideas on how to fix this issue?

Return it. I had this issue with a brand new one a couple months ago, took it back to my LFS and they opened two more brand new units that were defective as well.

I meant to follow up with them but I assume there was a bad batch of units.

I bought a regular old refractometer instead.

Same here. Just err on calibration. I returned it to the store for a new one but that one couldn't hold it's calibration for a hour. So returned it once more. This one holds up but once this breaks I'm done with them.

The other checkers I have no problem with but the salinity one I'm not a fan of even if testing is simple with it.

Thanks all. I have a refractometer so ill just use that from now on!

Send it back and get a Tropic Marin hydrometer. Thank me later...
