Also, place the vial in the same orientation every time.
I use a mark on vial and line up with the b in ppb on the front. And everything that living tribunal said too!

Always, I marked it with a sharpee.

Wouldnt a sharpee change the results? Even a scratched cuvette can cause problems.
I think people mean use one of the manufacturers marks like the “10 ml” marking always facing forward. For both C1 and C2.

If cuvettes are scratched up you can get replacements.

are you using the same glass vial for both C1 and C2?
 
A drop or two is not going to make a measurable difference in 10 mL of water.

It's a dot with a fine tip sharpee on the top of the cuvette. I didn't draw a picture on it. Lol. Matter of fact, it's almost rubbed off entirely as it is..

And no, I'm not using the same cuvette for both..
