Hello

I am new back into the hobby and will be setting up a QT tank and need to order a copper test kit. I plan on buying the Hannah test kit. I see BRS only sells the high range, but I can but the low range directly from Hannah I am told. I believe the high range is 0-5ppm. I am wondering which version others are using .

thanks !

Do not try to use this device to assess copper in a display reef tank. It will likely give a nonzero value that is higher than reality.
I will be using this for a quarantine tank only ...so I would assume the high range would be appropriate then?

I think it depends on what you are going to treat with.

I'm not an expert of copper treatments, but I'd want the value to be in the middle of the range. The low range checker (0-1 ppm) seems good if you are using something like copper sulfate with a target of 0.2 ppm.

The high range (0-5 ppm) seems good if you are going to use a bound copper that needs a higher dose, like copper safe at 2.5 ppm.
