Hannah testers

Here are a few things I do.
*rinse the vial with tank water before use and rinse with rodi immediately after use
*fill vial where the bottom of the meniscus is at the line of the vial and be consistant
*keep the outside of the vial clean and don't touch the side if possible it will leave finger prints, clean the outside often
*fill vial with syringe, makes it easy but not neccasary
*cut 2 sides of phosphate package for easy pouring
*watch a few how to YouTube videos

Most importantly do each test a few times today to make sure you are getting consistent results.

Good luck!

Keep a wad of newspaper next to your testers. They're great for cleaning off the outside of the vials without leaving streaks.

Excellent Tips!! I agree watch a few youtubes. It always helps to see someone else do before you try.

I love my alk tester but we were only getting min and max readings at our club meeting this weekend with the ca test kit. Not sure what we were doing wrong or if it was just defective.

Great tips. Thank you everyone. I wouldn't have thought finger prints would have interfered with it. Good looking out, glad I asked.:)

I got the extra covets and do a vinegar soak once a month to keep them clear, clarity matters.

I hear clean and quick are the two keys to getting good readings with these. There is an internal timer in one of them that requires you to have the reagent mixed and back in before it goes off or it will be a bad reading. I think it's the Phosphate one.
