Hannah ULR 736 vs Hannah 774 reagents

I accidently bought the 774 reagent. Does anyone know if both the 736 and 774 reagent are the same?

I know the 774 reads in ppm so you don't have to do the math, but my thought is that it's only the egg doing the math that has changed?

They are different. I think Bulk Reef Supply has a video on this. The phosphorous test is more sensitive. That is it will detect lower levels and has a lower top range. Now I don’t know if you can run the phosphate reagent in the phosphorous detector. I would guess that you can but it would modify the results and I do not know the correction factor.

Are you sure you aren't talking about the 714 which is less accurate?

736 and 774 are both ULR detectors to the accuracy of ppb. The new 774 has a higher top range and gives you a direct readout in ppm.

The 736 requires the readout x 3.066/1000

I'll probably just return the 774 reagent and order the 736 but I thought if someone knew it could save me the hassle.

I did this one time. Ordered the wrong reagent pack, and used it for quite a few tests before a reefer friend pointed out i was using the wrong reagents.

Both the 774 and the 736 measured the same result. So Whether they are interchangeable or not, I have no clue, but both worked the same for me.
