Happy 6 months Cookie!

It’s officially been 6 months of having Cookie and over 9 months of having a tank! Only a few more months to go until the 1 year mark woohoo! I never knew I could have so much love for a starfish but I really do!

He’s a West African Biscuit (Goniaster tessellatus) reef-safe with caution! I keep him well fed and he hasn’t bothered any corals. They don’t naturally live on coral reefs so they wouldn’t eat corals in the wild but if he’s hungry or curious he may eat them. I feed him clams, algae wafers, krill, occasionally he finds fish food to eat, and plankton. I like to vary his diet but have found he eats anything I give him. Their natural diet is microorganisms like plankton but beyond that not much is known.
