So I have two brains. Welso I do believe. Both obtained at a frag swap 1 month ago. Both in similar currents. Identical lighting. One is extremely happy. One is losing tissue. I do have elevated phosphates around .10 or so. All others are in check.

Happy behind. This thing swells and flops on the floor.

Could your angel be picking at it? That is what happened to mine. It took me too long to figure out that the angel was the cause.

The one in front looks like a tracy i had. I placed it in lower light area. Figured it was a goner. In a few days it perked up. It remained there for maybe a month. Then slowly worked it into medium lighting. When it started looking sad again i knew i pushed it to its light limit. Which was less than other trachys i had.

I second the possibility of angels harassing it. If a fish is known as a coral picker, that is the one coral they will migrate too first based on my experience (and research). Doesn't explain why the fish would leave the other one alone right next to it though.

I've never seen him pick at anything. I'm trying not to be in denial. But watching him like a hawk. I'm thinking it could be current as the side that had the most flow is the one worse for wear. It may have to go into the back corner

Since my second tank appears stable and healthy, I moved the Lobo to it. The only fish there is a black ice clown. Lower current and not as intense lighting.

Do you feed the Lobo? I use Lps futtergranulate from Fauna Marin. I don't know it is available in the U.S. but perhaps you could feed him to try to get him back on track?
Best regards,

Youri

I have some reef chili coral food but haven't gotten a true feeding response yet.
