New to SPS, picked up a green stylo and a purple pink stylo...
Usually puffy and waving i consider them happy.
I have been noticing or lacked to notice before that at night or sometimes at night they close up and are not puffy...
Next day they are back to puffy...
Is that expected?

ph 8.1
phosphates to my eye read 0, i know there is no 0 reading so whatever the lowest is
nitrates about 20-25
calcium 420
alk 9
salt 1.025-26
temp steady at 75-76
They are high in the tank and get "about" 400 par
Flow is moderate +

By "at night" do you mean when lights are off? My stylos retract somewhat when my lights are off.

Also, those are some pretty high nitrates for a tank with sps.

when lights are off, which is night time for me as well... they go off at 8:15 pm
I am looking for a solution to lowering the nitrates, although they have been fine with them so far.
Going to try a cheato in an enclosure and place it in my overflows that get light as well. I posted another thread about adding a fuge. Think i may try this first.
