I am using the Jebao 6500 pump and it comes with a connections to hard plumb it. Is that the right choice or should I have soft pipe in between it and the rest of the plumbing?

I dont want to use a barb fitting anywhere so ill prob go with Ultra Flex PVC if hard plumbing it is a bad choice.

No, hard pvc pipe would be preferable.

I hard plumbed mine and I have seen other do it as well. I know that if you use a small piece of soft tubing it can cut down on any vibrations but my pump is sitting on a 1/2" piece of rummer mat

Have a link to the thing you put under the pump? Or something similar?

Glad to hear that hard plumbing the whole thing works.

Next question if y’all have an opinion. I’m thinking about having a small bit of pipe coming out of my bulkheads and then using 1 45 elbow to go diagonal to the drains and then a 45 to make it straight again to go in.

Would that be better then using 2 90’s to go horizontally and then vertical again?

Yes 2 45s is better than 2 90s. And I got the piece of rubber from a contractor that works on conveyor belts, it's the stuff that bolsters the sides. I did see some stuff on amazon that is a little thinner but this was free and you can't beat free :-)

Wonder why people don’t use the 45s more? Don’t like the long diagonal lines? Seems like everyone goes for 90s
