Hard Shells on Coral??

Hi All,

Hoping for a critter ID from this video, they are hard-type shells just showing on this one froghspawn?

Have dipped the coral a tried to remove them but would love to know what they are...

Unfortunately, I can’t see the video/picture? That said, from your discription could it be a limpet or chiton?

Those look like larger Vermetid snail tubes to me - it should be kind of shiny inside.

Ah OK, I've had a few elsewhere in the tank and they looked very different so i'd ruled that out.

Yeah, there are a bunch of different species in the family - some look drastically different than others size-wise, with how the tube lays, the tube color, etc.

Very good video and are vermetid snails. Three ways to eliminate:
Break off at base with pliers an discard

cover opening with Gel superglue

Slowest but effective- add bumbee snails
