Hardwood floor finishing

Planning on new tank install this spring.
Tank will be on concrete floor, but rest of house wood floor.
The floors will need to be refinished in about 4 years.
Does anyone know how toxic refinishing would be to a reef tank in another room?
If very toxic, will consider refinishing them a little early, but would perfere not to.

I’m guessing by refinishing the hardwood you mean screening the floor, which is roughing up the surface enough for the new sealant to adhere. You’re not talking about taking it down to the bare wood, which would entail removing the existing stain. Most people just need new sealant applied due to scratches in the surface.
