Maroons seem a bit more aggressive when compared to ocelleris and the like. has anyone successfully kept a harem of maroons together?

I've always thought of maroons as the meanest of clowns. I will predict that your harem will be reduced to two.....and possibly one if the last two are females! So you'll end up with a harem of one. Remember, clowns are damsels, and the maroon is the epitome of a damsel.

I've kept a harem of maroons before. When introducing new maroons make sure you're buying the smallest ones you can find. Then put them in one of those acrylic fish containers you can attach to the side of the tank. Put the container near the existing maroon clown's nem or whatever it is "hosting" in and watch the fireworks :P. The existing maroon will constantly attack the new maroons... The new ones should show their belly in submission. Finally one day the attacks will end. At which point you can let the new maroons out and they should get along just fine.

these would all be new to the tank, juveniles but a couple would be slightly larger.
