Harlequin Shrimp - Amazing Little Creature

I just purchased a Harlequin shrimp today, as I have hundreds of asterina starfish overrunning my 180. I drip acclimated the shrimp and placed it in the tank, several minutes later it had all ready scared off a clownfish that got a little too close and caught a starfish. It is an amazing little creature.

I've got tons of asternia's in my tank as well... Wish I could rent a Harlequin for the same reason as I don't want to have to feed it starfish once the population depletes. :/

You could return it to the LFS for store credit once the tank has been cleaned up.

Another option would be to pass it on to fellow reefers in your area that have a large population of asterina starfish.

Very good point. I'll have to ask the LFS if it's something they can get in.
